New Orleans
Here are some pictures from David's business trip to New Orleans last week, in no particular order. I was very glad to be able to go with him, but it may take some convincing for me to want to go back...especially with the baby.
Yummy dessert at Pat O'Brien's - on Bourbon St. The food was great, the scene, not so much.
David's dessert
The Louisiana Supreme Court - very close to our hotel.
I must say, they do an amazing job with Christmas decorations in New Orleans.
Our hotel is the blue awning on the right - on Bourbon St. :(
David's boss.
The place you HAVE to go for beignets (French doughnuts) and cafe au lait (French coffee).
Almost anyone who has been to New Orleans will ask if you went to this place.
David, enjoying his beignet.
Another cafe I discovered that made really good sandwiches.
David, in front of the hotel.
One of the approximately 25 Christmas trees in the hotel lobby.
Excellent New Orleans coffee.
Where David works in New Orleans.
I got to hear some of the oral argument while we were there.
David's judge gives all the clerks an assignment for the year - on one of their trips to New Orleans they have to do something fun/interesting and then do a presentation for everyone else. We decided to go to the World War II museum. It was very interesting and well done. I must say I would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have very swollen feet by the end :)

Our First Christmas Tree
This year we get to have our first Christmas tree because we aren't able to go home.
A few pictures of it:
