NYC & Kristina!

David and I were so excited to be able to go to New York this weekend to visit Kristina.

We had a wonderful time in fellowship, touring where she works and goes to school, seeing some sites, meeting friends and going to church with her.

The February Thaw :)

The weather-people predicted a February thaw, and so far they've been right!

I took this picture walking home after going to the gym.

A Northeast Winter

(Meant to post this a while ago...)


My In-laws told me that since I was going to be moving to Boston it would probably be the worst winter in a long time - and they were right!

So far we've gotten 28.7" MORE snow than the yearly average and it was the third snowiest January on record.

Note: totals are for Logan International Airport and we get a little bit more in Cambridge.

For my California friends, this is what it's like :)

Scraping ice off the windshield - can't pour water on it because it will freeze.

The roads are much narrower because there is nowhere for the snow to go.  These huge piles are outside our church in Cambridge.
